HUA. Great post. My son has walked out of all the recruiting offices disappointed at what this woke military has to offer. He asked me to go with him a couple times and both times I was disappointed but quietly hoping this was just a phase and my son would join and continue a multiple generation tradition of service. We agreed that things are not getting better and I will not force him to join this military. We are likely past the point where hoping and praying for change will make a difference. Our country seems lost.
My wife and I have the same issue with our teen son who would be eligible next year.
We simply would NOT recommend his service until there are MAJOR changes in the Military's doctrine and training...returning our forces to a focus on lethality over accommodation. Cheers, brother!

Revisiting this post now that Pete Hegseth has been nominated as SecDef. My son is in wait and see mode as the new administration takes shape.
