Let's be clear: the recent demonstrations and riots, allegedly in support of groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and Islamic Jihad, are viewed by some as the latest cause célèbre for those inclined to create chaos. This perspective suggests that these events disrupt the lives of ordinary, law-abiding people.
Advocates for conservative principles, have a strong stance against violent demonstrations, emphasizing the importance of law and order. It is argued that stopping the chaos caused by protests that turn violent is crucial. It's believed that such actions not only fail to resolve issues but also endanger society's well-being and its citizens' safety.
It is also contended that while peaceful protest is a democratic right, there is a stark difference between peaceful assembly and violent rioting and illegal activities. There is clear evidence that certain protests, purportedly for social justice, are co-opted by those intent on causing disorder and subverting societal standards. (BLM, ANTIFA, et al..,)
Criticism is leveled at what some perceive as flimsy or overstated reasons for these protests, which range from environmental activism to accusations of anti-Semitism, racial issues, anti-government sentiment, and many other social complaints. They are seen as excuses to foster unrest and mayhem, which doesn't resolve any real problems. From a conservative point of view, such justifications diverge from traditional values and distract from society's actual difficult challenges.
This viewpoint, expressed strongly, supports a decisive response to ongoing violence. If such actions persist without intervention, it's argued that the cycle of violence will likely worsen, calling for a strict crackdown to maintain order and safeguard the general, law-abiding public.
In summary, from this perspective, the nation's stability and adherence to the rule of law are of utmost importance, advocating a zero-tolerance approach to violence associated with protests, irrespective of the purported cause. The message is unequivocal: peaceful protest may be honored, but violence will be met with stern measures to ensure public safety and order.
The concern is that if such trends continue, they could potentially escalate to a situation where sides would be drawn and armed conflict could occur, ominously referred to as "Civil War 2.0".
The military term used in combat is..."Danger Close"!
